“And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand.” - Genesis 39:3 (NKJV)
In line with yesterday’s devotional and the start of your new season, I will be taking you on a journey of proclaiming the promises of God over your life for the next 10 days, covering 10 key areas of your life.
Today, we begin with proclaiming the favour and the blessing of God upon your life. If you have ever looked at people around you who carry the unmerited favour of God, know that it’s the blessing of God in operation. As a believer, this blessing is available for you, too! Being favoured of God means that you’re blessed beyond measure, endowed with honour, a recipient of grace, and you’re blessed of God even when you don’t seem to deserve it. Being highly favoured means that everything you do prospers. Favour is what caused the king’s eyes to be blinded to the other young and beautiful virgins, where all he could see was Esther.
Proverbs 8:35 says, “For the one who finds me finds life and receives favour from the Lord.” (NET)
Today I want you to grasp that favour is a promise from God for those who have inherited salvation — just as you’re promised eternal life, health, provision, and protection, so have you been promised His unmerited favour. We can liken this to a child who understands their birthright and has been given access to their father’s wealth. They don’t question whether they have it or not — they know they do!
Prophetic Declaration
God highly favours me! He seeks to prosper me all the days of my life. His favour is causing me to stand out among my peers. His blessing rests heavily upon me! His promises are unconditional and intended for my good. The oil of favour rests upon my head today and forevermore. Amen.
