Have you ever stood in the ocean and felt the movements of the tides pulling you in, drawing you deeper, as the ocean prepares to lavish the next wave on you?

In the same way, the Holy Spirit is like the ocean, constantly moving, drawing you deeper and deeper into Him. When one is sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and hears with intent, good works and fruit is produced in their lives, and perpetual movement begins.

It is therefore vital for you to understand the movements, the rivers, the streams, the waves, and the flow of the Holy Spirit in order submerge yourself in Him.

1. UNDERSTANDING THE RIVERS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:

“And he showed me a pure river of water of life. Clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.”Revelations 22:1 (NKJV)

The river of the Holy Spirit carries divine instructions and activities straight from the throne of God to the earth. This means that only those who are in close proximity to the throne of God and that can hear what the Spirit is saying for every day will understand the instructions and activities of the river.

There are many prophetic steams flowing from the throne of God that we can partake in when we learn to submit to Holy Spirit,

  • Rivers of holiness
  • Rivers of deliverance
  • Rivers of prosperity
  • Rivers of healings
  • Rivers of miracles
  • Rivers of creative miracles etc.

In order for the rivers of the Holy Spirit to manifest in your life, there are levels of God’s Word that need to be active in your life,

  • The Graphe Word – The Written Word that must be inspired and revealed by the Holy,
  • The Logos Word – The Written Word that becomes the Living Word inside of us,
  • The Rhema Word – The spoken word of God in a specific moment in time over a specific situation.

The Graphe and the Logos is the basis upon which the rivers of the Holy Spirit is established, and the Rhema is what carries the movements of the Holy Spirit from the natural into the supernatural.

“He that believeth on me, as the scriptures hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”John 7:38 (KJV)

2. THE STREAMS AND WAVES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:

The Holy Spirit continually wants to take you to higher streams or levels. When we become familiar and comfortable with the streams or levels that we reach, we often fail to recognize when the Holy Spirit presents us with higher levels, causing us to miss opportunities of growth and divine instruction from God for the next level in our lives.

The Spirit of God moves in streams and waves, and it is therefore of the utmost importance for us to be sensitive and open to what God wants to reveal to us in order to do a new work, and to take you higher into His perfect will for your life.

3. THE FLOW OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:

The Holy Spirit transcends time, matter and space and therefore and can manifest anywhere at any time. The flow of the Holy Spirit is omnipresent, eternal, and inexhaustible, and once we receive the Holy Spirit, our possibilities become endless.

4. HOW TO ACTIVATE THE RIVERS, STREAMS AND FLOW OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN YOU:

a. By Aligning Your Faith with Action:

“So, then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”Romans 10:17 (NKJV)

Listening and hearing is not the same thing. The “hearing” spoken of here means to acknowledge and to receive the Word into your spirit – this will activate spiritual hearing. Spiritual hearing will produce revelation that in turn, will stir up your faith.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)

Faith does not reject reality, but rather chooses to move in the dimension of truth – the truth about Jesus and His victory on the cross.

It is important to take note that sight is natural, but faith is vision.

  • Sight is limited by our carnal mind of reasoning and by the natural circumstances around us; vision is only limited by the boundaries of our imagination,
  • Sight will always show you what is happening in the now, vision will show you what can be,
  • Sight will reveal fact; faith reveals truth,
  • Sight allows the manifestation of the natural, faith allows the manifestation of the supernatural,
  • Sight is finite, faith is infinite,

Our imaginations can see what our reason cannot validate, it is not subject to the limits of reason and that is why the Holy Spirit can use our imaginations to show us our true spiritual reality – a reality determined by what God says and not what our circumstances say.

A believer whose vision is faith driven, and led by the Holy Spirit, becomes a dangerous believer, and has the ability to live a life of absolute victory.

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”Mark 9:23 (NKJV)

In the supernatural realm, the possibilities are infinite to those who believe, so what do you believe? You believe the Word of God.

The Word of God is the only thing that reigns and rules in the supernatural dimension.

Romans 10:10 teaches us that in the face of adversity you need to maintain a confession.

What do we confess? We confess the Word of God. When a born again believer speak the Word of God by faith then the supernatural power of God goes into operation.

Your spirit carries the capacity for infinite possibilities, if only you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth unto salvation. When you believe, you become a new creation in Christ, old things pass away and all things now become new – 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

“Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”James 2:17 (NKJV)

Therefore, once you have activated these keys in your life, you can move from potential power to dunamis power, faith put into action, God’s power and ability made manifest in your life.

b. By the anointing:“Therefore, I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.”2 Timothy 1:6 (NKJV)

The anointing is the power of God that operates through us to bring salvation, deliverance, healing, signs and wonders. God anoints us for the purpose of making known the gospel of Jesus Christ and establishing His kingdom here on earth. It is our responsibility to stir up the workings of the Holy Spirit to increase the anointing on our lives.

To flow with the Holy Spirit means that we must be ready to move with Him. This will require of you to encounter Him daily, over and over.
