Have you ever felt the desire to flow in the power and the gifts of the Holy Spirit?

If you’ve ever been in a service where the power of God was operating freely, where people were encountering Him, being healed, delivered and set free – for many of you, you would have experienced a deep yearning to minister like that.

For those of you who have a desire to flow in the supernatural and to see the power of God flow through your very life, I want to encourage you to continue reading…

TWO INGREDIENTS TO UNLOCK HIS POWER

1. Revelation and Understanding

First – it’s important to realise that in order for you to demonstrate something, you first need to have experienced it yourself.

You cannot demonstrate to someone how to grow a business, or fix a car, unless you have first done it yourself.

The same applies with the Holy Spirit.

The
supernatural power of the Holy Spirit
must
first be
experienced and understood before you can demonstrate it.

The Holy Spirit is not only the Spirit of God, and part of the trinity, but He is also the Author of the Word of God. This is why those who aren’t filled with the Holy Spirit will struggle to understand the Bible – and certainly, will not be able to get revelation.

To be a mature and healthy believer, you need a balance of both the Word of God and the Spirit of God. You cannot have one without the other, because they complement each other.

Therefore, to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and in a place where you can demonstrate His power to those around you, you need revelation and understanding of the Word of God.

Revelation and understanding will separate you from quoting scripture mechanically to speaking with the authority of heaven, where souls get saved and demons tremble.

“Behold, I send you the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high”Luke 24:49 (NKJV)

This word “endued” literally means to be clothed with power. This power also includes knowledge and divine abilities. It literally means to receive God-like ability and knowledge.

2. The Presence of God

This is where relationship with God is so crucial, and is one of the keys which separates Christianity from any other religion.

It’s one thing to know God’s Word and to be able to recite Bible verses – many can do this, yet nothing is changing in their lives. The determining factor in whether something will change when we speak is locked up in knowing God.

The presence of God is a necessity to effectively impart the Word of God and His power to another person. The Word must come out of His Holy Presence.

When we have an experience with God’s supernatural knowledge and ability, and are divine carriers of His presence and glory, we can now begin to describe, teach, and impart it with precision, confidence and demonstration.

This is when we begin to see transformation in the lives of those around us.

“The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people…”Luke 24:19 (NKJV)

It is not enough to have the right words alone. Many can talk the talk. We need the actions, the concrete works, and the demonstration of power to correspond with
 what we preach.

Many assume that the power of God is simply being able to heal the sick or raise the dead, and all of these are indeed the power of God, but there is nothing more dangerous in the Kingdom of God than a person who is filled with the Word of God, revelation and understanding, carrying an atmosphere of His presence with them, and then moving in a realm of supernatural power.

THREE STEPS TO DEMONSTRATE HIS POWER

I am going to briefly share with you the 3 steps to accessing the power of the Holy Ghost in your life, just as I have.

From the day I began to apply these keys, I experienced a drastic turnaround in my personal life, in my walk with God, and in my ministry.

“And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”1 Corinthians 2: 1–5 (NKJV)

  1. The Method to Demonstrate His Power?

First, it’s very important to realise that it’s the supernatural power of God that distinguish Christianity from any other religion.

When you can pray for someone and they feel His presence for the first time, or they get healed, or they receive a Word of Knowledge that you could possibly never have known – suddenly you have their attention.

A demonstration is never linked to theory alone, but to application of that theory.

“God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will.”Hebrews 2:4 (NKJV)

Therefore, the method to manifest and demonstrate the power of God is that it should speak to the five senses of the person to who you are ministering.

For example, the blind can receive their sight, the deaf can receive their hearing, those oppressed by demons can be set free and experience release from bondage, and those confined to a wheelchair for years can be healed and walk again – all by the power and love of God.

They will be able to physically and tangibly experience the power!

2. The Condition to Demonstrate His Power?

As I mentioned at the start of this article, it’s important that we understand that before the power of God comes upon us, we need to receive revelation of His Word.

When God sends His Word and someone receives it through revelation, He backs it up with His power.

“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please…”Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV)

The condition for manifesting supernatural power is the revelation of knowledge. Without a demonstration, the revelation has no credibility.

Every spiritual reality should be demonstrated in the natural. Afterall, this is the differentiating factor between Christianity and any other dead religion.

If what we preach is as we say it to be, then we should be able to prove it – through demonstration!

3. The Need and Importance of Demonstrating His Power?

I will give you six of the main reasons why Christ so desires for you to walk in His power.

A.  To show that Jesus is alive – here and now. – Acts 3:11-16, 2 Corinthians 4:10-11
B. To demonstrate that Jesus never changes; He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. – Hebrews 13:8
C. The power of God is proof that Jesus will return – Acts 1:11
D. To confirm that the Word of God is true. – 2 Samuel 7:28, John 17:17
E. The power proves God’s integrity. – Numbers 23:19, Mark 16:20
F. Because the power confronts and subjugates Satan; it is the proof that his occupation on earth has ended and the government of God has been established. The kingdom of God pushes out the enemy and his kingdom of darkness wherever they seek to gain control. – Luke 10:19; 11:20; 1 John 3:8.

If the enemy has ever lied to you that you aren’t deserving of the power of the

Holy Ghost, and that the ability to operate in the supernatural power of God is only reserved for those in full-time ministry, then these few points above can completely annihilate those lies.

Whatever has been limiting you from operating in the power of the Holy Spirit, I declare and decree that it will be dealt with right now, in Jesus Name!

As a Prophet, I declare that a hunger for His Presence and His Word shall be ignited on the inside of you like never before.

May the Spirit of Revelation and Understanding come upon you, His presence begin to increase like never before, and for His Power to flow forth from your life. In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen!
