Relentless Prayer
“pray without ceasing” 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (ESV)
To pray without ceasing is to pray with a relentless attitude. Someone who prays without ceasing is someone who has the tenacity to grab hold of the promises of God and to pray them into existence.
Paul is urging us to pray persistent prayers. Without ceasing is without giving up and without giving in. It’s simply refusing to stop praying until there’s a change! It’s time that we become Christians who refuse to faint in the day of trouble, refuse to give up or give in, and refuse to accept anything but answered prayers.
Paul had a revelation of the importance of prayer in his spiritual language. In 1 Corinthians 14:18, Paul said, “I thank my god that I pray in tongues more than you all.” He wasn’t being arrogant - he was simply that confident! The word “more” in this verse means that his spiritual vocabulary was more mature than theirs. He had so exercised his heavenly language, and spent so much time praying in the spirit, that he knew he had developed this gift more than anyone around him.
Your heavenly language is the key to breaking through. It is the key to the wisdom and guidance you need for your future, and the power you need to see every giant come down.
Prophetic Declaration
I will not stop praying until I see a change! In the Name of Jesus Christ, I cast down every form of opposition. I silence every suggestion to give up. As I become relentless in my prayers, I command miracles to be released, in Jesus’ mighty Name.
